We have helped hundreds of seniors cut through the confusion and evaluate options available. We pride ourselves in providing help in a no pressure way. You are in the driver's seat for your own coverage! We only work in Georgia and understand the networks, benefits, and more related to plans in your local area. We have two offices. One is located in north Georgia in Loganville (Metro Atlanta area). The other location is in South Georgia in Brunswick. We are happy to help answer your questions about Medicare.
A little about us outside of Medicare: We are married and have five grown children and thirteen wonderful grandchildren from infant all the way up to 21 years old. We love to travel, especially cruising! We both also enjoy reading, watching movies, walking, and spending time with family.
If you are looking for dental coverage, we can help with that as well. Medicare A & B does not provide any dental coverage. If you decide to choose to use Original Medicare A & B along with a Medicare Supplement Plan and Part D Drug Plan, you may wish to add dental coverage. Many Medicare Supplement Plans include dental as part of the plan. However, some people choose to add additional dental coverage.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Plans are a great option if you do not like risk and would rather have the most coverage. Keep in mind that Medicare Supplement Plans do not include Part D Drug coverage, so you will also need a stand alone Part D Drug Plan unless you have other "credible" drug coverage. I can help you shop premium rates so you do not pay more than you have to!
Part C Medicare Advantage Plans are available to you when you have Medicare Parts A & B. Many of these plans include extra benefits, like dental, vision, OTC allowance, gym membership, zero or low premiums and zero deductible. Part C Medicare Advantage Plans are available to you when you have Medicare Parts A & B. Many of these plans include extra benefits, like dental, vision, OTC allowance, gym membership, zero or low premiums and zero deductible. They are essentially getting paid by Medicare to provide your Medicare benefits. They are able to add in extra benefits not covered by original Medicare! Let me help you check networks, benefits, and drug costs.
If you decide to choose a Medicare Supplement Plan to enhance your Medicare A & B coverage, you will most likely need a Part D Drug Plan. I can help you check the plans available in your area to find the lowest cost plan for you for your personalized situation. Also, find out more about the Medicare Part D "Donut Hole" and whether or not you are at risk for getting into it.

If you are still working and covered by your employer group health plan with 20 or more employees, you are able to delay Medicare enrollment without a penalty for late enrollment. Most people will go ahead and enroll in Part A, which is zero premium if you worked enough time and paid Medicare taxes. The only time you will not want to get Part A is if you have an HSA. Medicare plans don't have a high enough deductible for you to quality for having an HSA account. Find out more info here: https://www.medicare.gov/basics/get-started-with-medicare/medicare-basics/working-past-65.
Many people continue to work after 65 but still go on Medicare insurance because it may be less expensive and have more benefits. Contact me to help you compare Medicare costs and benefits to your employer plan.
This is a personal decision and everyone is different. We are both on Medicare plans and each of us chose a different option. Melissa hates risk and would rather pay more in premiums to lower her health care risk. Steve is the opposite. He didn't want to pay an additional premium and also wanted the extra benefits Medicare Advantage Plans provide. He has been saving all the money he would have paid for a Medicare Supplement Premium. We are both very happy with our decisions! It just goes to show there is a plan for everyone.
In 2024, the standard Medicare Part B premium amount is $174.90/month. If you didn't work long enough and pay Medicare taxes, you could also be required to pay a Part A premium (but most people don't). The Part B premium can be adjusted based on income. Right now they are looking at the 2022 tax return to determine if you will pay the standard amount or if they will charge you IRMAA (Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount). You may have seen a TV commercial or ad regarding getting money back in your Social Security check. Plans vary by area, but this may be an option in your area. The ads that talk about getting all of the Part B premium back in your check are referring to Medicare Savings Programs available to people with low income. Find out more here: https://www.medicare.gov/your-medicare-costs/get-help-paying-costs/medicare-savings-programs.
There are also Medicare Advantage Plans that are not for people with low income that help pay a portion of your Medicare Part B premium. Some of the plans are geared toward people who only need medical benefits and not prescription drug benefits. This may be because the beneficiary has VA drug coverage or other credible drug coverage and prefers to use that instead of Medicare Part D drug coverage. There are also a few other plans that reduce the Part B premium. Usually there would be higher copays or fewer extra benefits. Contact me to find out more and check plan options in your area.
As independent agents, we don't work for just one insurance company. We represent multiple companies including United HealthCare, Aetna, Humana, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Clover, Cigna, Wellcare, Omaha, and more. Different companies and plans could be a better fit for different people.
We are able to help you by comparing plans available in your area that meet your needs. We will check networks to find out which plans your doctors accept. We will also check drug costs to find the best Part D Drug plan for you. There is never any pressure. We are here to help answer your questions you have now and in the future. We are able to help you get enrolled and help with plan changes in the future. Also, there is never any cost to use for our services and we take your privacy very seriously. Your info is never shared.
